Hi! My name is Angela, but you can call me Angie. I am the owner of Blush and Rouge Boutique and a proud mother and wife. I am a former teacher and have a passion for education and hope to continue being able to use my platform and business to help be an asset to local schools as I expand my boutique. I am 27 years old and live in Denham Springs, Louisiana but am originally from Prairieville, Louisiana.
Q: Please tell us a little bit about your family.
I have a wonderful husband named Will and a beautiful daughter. I also have two large dogs, Dusk and Marley.
Q: Please tell us about your current, past, or future career. What do you love most about what you do?
I am a former teacher! I worked at my boutique part-time on the weekends and at night while teaching for the past 2 years. After having my daughter, I decided to try and go full-time with the boutique and got a storefront in August so I could spend more time with my daughter. I give back to teachers when I can and give them a 20% off discount all year. I have hopes to open one more business in the near future.
Q: What are a couple of your favorite restaurants in our community?
I love Raising Canes for fast food and both Portobellos and Little Village for a fancy dinner.
Q: How long have you lived or worked in our community?
I have lived in South Louisiana my entire life. I was born in Prairieville but moved to Hammond for college and now reside in Denham Springs…however, my store is located in Baton Rouge.
Q: Who is the most interesting person you’ve met here in our community?
I would say the girls next door at Bustle! They are so unique and so friendly. They are unlike any other bridal boutique I have ever been to.
Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
Definitely Greece! It has always been on the top of my list for the beautiful scenery.

I love reality TV like The Bachelor and Love is Blind. I rarely watch Movies but I do love How To Lose A Guy in 10 Days!
Q: What advice would you give to people?
My advice is to stay true and authentic to yourself and to never give up. No matter what journey or adventure you are on, It is never going to be an overnight success. Allow yourself grace as you are learning but always continue to learn and grow to become a better version of yourself.
Q: What is something on your bucket list?
I really would love to visit all 50 states!
Q: What is your go to band when you can’t decide what to listen to?
I usually just turn on 100.7 The Tiger and listen to my girls on the off-the-record! They make my day. In my store, I listen to pop music however to keep the vibes upbeat.
Q: What current or former local business makes you the most nostalgic about our community?
Louis DeAngelos comes to my mind. It was my first job and I think about it all the time and wish they could return. They had amazing food, community, and so much more.
Q: If you could choose anyone that is alive today and not a relative; with whom would you love to have lunch? Why? And where locally would y’all meet for this lunch?
I love listening to the Boutique Hub podcast, so I would say the owner of the Boutique Hub, Ashley. I listen to and learn so much every week from her and would love the opportunity to sit and chat.
Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about our community?
I love how close-knit the community is and it is hard to meet a stranger. I always feel so welcome when I go somewhere new.
Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?
I would love to continue growing both my business and my family!
Q: (Even for friends or family), what is something interesting that most people don’t know about you?
I feel as though most people don’t know how truly corny and “weird” I can be. I am spunky and love to see the positive in all situations. I am pretty shy in the beginning so it takes a while for the personality to come out and shine.
Q: What is the most beautiful place you have ever been? Why did it make such an impression on you?
Probably the Grand Canyon! I would say it has a lasting impression as it is where I got engaged. It was the most beautiful place and now I have the most beautiful memories to associate it with.
