My name is Ivan Ramos. I’m the owner of LA Painting and Repairs. We provide interior and exterior painting, stucco repair, woodwork, finish carpentry, flooring installation, and minor plumbing and electrical needs. I’m originally from Honduras, but I have been living in Baton Rouge for 22 years. I love Baton Rouge. I love Louisiana. And I love the USA.

I’m married to a wonderful wife, Estela we have a son named Noah who has medical conditions that he battles, but he is my treasure.
Q: Please tell us about your current, past, or future career. What do you love most about what you do?
I love to serve people, it is my heart.
Q: What are a couple of your favorite restaurants in our community?
Two of my favorite restaurants in our community are Texas of Brazil and Carrabba’s.

I have lived in Baton Rouge for 22 years.
Q: Who is the most interesting person you’ve met here in our community?
The most interesting person that I have met is my pastors Terry Workman and Duilio Cannosa.
Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
Israel, to see the ground that Jesus walked in person.
Q: What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?
I love the movie Transformers.
Q: What advice would you give to people?
My advice to people would be to seek Jesus with all of their heart.
Q: What is something on your bucket list?
An item on my bucket list is building a shelter for the homeless in our community.
Q: What is your go to band when you can’t decide what to listen to?
I love the band Mercy Me.
Q: What current or former local business makes you the most nostalgic about our community?
It is not a business but paramedics make me most nostalgic.
Q: If you could choose anyone that is alive today and not a relative; with whom would you love to have lunch? Why? And where locally would y’all meet for this lunch?
I would love to have lunch with Elon Musk. I would ask him questions about how to build a successful company.
Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about our community?
Food, and people. We have some of the best of both!
Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?
I want to be the best husband, father, and friend that I can be to my family and those around me.

Panama City Beach, I love water.

August is my favorite month. Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday, and all Fridays are my favorite days on the calendar.

I love gas station hot dogs.
