Q: Please tell us a little bit about your family.
My wife Hannah and I were high-school sweethearts, we have been married for 5 years and have two young children; Josiah James and Nora Grace.
Q: Please tell us about your current, past, or future career. What do you love most about what you do?
Being a pastor at Journey Church is an honor. Getting to help people live out their faith in Christ, and helping them walk through some of their toughest moments is a blessing beyond what words can describe.
Q: What are a couple of your favorite restaurants in our community?
Chimes, Little Village, Curbside, Rocca, and Fleur de Lis!
Q: How long have you lived or worked in our community?
I was born and raised in the Greater Baton Rouge community. I have been a resident of Prairieville, Geismar, Watson, and Central.
Q: Who is the most interesting person you’ve met here in our community?
I had the privilege of working for Raising Cane’s for many years. Getting to meet and talk with Todd Graves on multiple occasions was very interested. A great business mind who cares for the community he lives in.
Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
Rome. I love Roman history, and am fascinated by the impact their culture has on us today.
Q: What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?
I’m a big Godfather fan, my wife has to put up with me quoting the movies in every scenario possible. I can even quote the Italian lines!
Q: What advice would you give to people?
Trust in Christ. Be the hardest worker in the room. Value people over objectives. Lead with integrity.
Q: What is something on your bucket list?
A trip to Rome, Greece, and Israel. One big history buff trip would be fantastic!
Q: What is your go to band when you can’t decide what to listen to?
Podcasts all day.
Q: What current or former local business makes you the most nostalgic about our community?
Fleur De Lis and Grand Cinema. The perfect Baton Rouge afternoon.
Q: If you could choose anyone that is alive today and not a relative; with whom would you love to have lunch? Why? And where locally would y’all meet for this lunch?
Dr. John Piper, a very influential Pastor and Author. Curbside is my go to lunch spot. Especially if the weather is good and you sit on the patio!
Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about our community?
The food and the hospitality. Traveling away from Baton Rouge, especially outside of Louisiana, makes you appreciate these two aspects of our community.
Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?
Loving Jesus, my family, the church, and the community. Whatever that looks like!
Q: (Even for friends or family), what is something interesting that most people don’t know about you?
When I’m not reading or playing with my kids, I love to watch the NBA and have recently gotten into Formula 1 Racing.
Q: What is the most beautiful place you have ever been? Why did it make such an impression on you?
The Pacific Coast of Nicaragua. The black beaches and volcanic mountains are breathtaking.
Q: Favorite month? favorite holiday? and best single day on the calendar?
October-December are my months. Halloween to Thanksgiving to Christmas is a non-stop joy-ride.

My wife. She is an excellent educator and the most caring person I know.

Red Bull, Jalapeño Cheetos, and Sour Mike and Ike’s
